A compassionate, integrative approach to healing, growth, and whole-person support.

Laurie Troumbly, MS, LPCC

Laurie was born and raised in Cass Lake, Minnesota, on the Leech Lake Reservation and is a proud direct descendant of the White Earth Nation.

Laurie Troumbly is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, board-approved supervisor, and founder of Beyond the Path Counseling LLC and Beyond LLC.

Laurie holds a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Bemidji State University and is licensed through the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.

In addition to providing therapy, she is a board-approved supervisor, supporting the growth and development of future clinicians in the field.

With advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, life coaching, integrative mental health modalities, and many other approaches, Laurie takes a comprehensive view of healing that supports both the mind and body.

She is also currently being trained in the Emotion Code®, an energy-based modality that focuses on identifying and releasing trapped emotional energy that may contribute to emotional or physical distress. This work further supports her interest in deeper healing, emotional release, and personal balance.

Laurie is especially passionate about supporting women, mothers, and teenagers who may feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or disconnected from themselves. Her goal is to help clients create structure, resilience, and meaningful change that carries into everyday life.

Her work is rooted in the belief that healing should feel supportive, calming, and empowering — not cold or overly clinical. Through both therapy and coaching, Laurie helps individuals move beyond feeling stuck and into greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.

With a fresh and whole-person approach, she blends clinical knowledge with integrative and goal-oriented support to create care that feels both grounded and meaningful.

Outside the Office

When she’s not working, Laurie enjoys spending time with family, fishing, reading, walking outdoors, and making memories with her loved ones—especially her two grandsons.
