What to Expect

While both counseling and coaching focus on personal growth and well-being, they serve slightly different purposes.

Counseling

Counseling is a clinical service focused on mental health and emotional well-being. It helps individuals work through challenges such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional patterns that may be affecting daily life.

The first counseling session is typically an initial assessment and conversation to better understand your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. From there, we work together to develop a plan and build skills that support emotional regulation, insight, and meaningful change.

Coaching

Coaching is forward-focused and growth-oriented. Rather than focusing on diagnosis or mental health treatment, coaching centers on helping individuals gain clarity, develop new habits, and move toward personal goals.

Coaching sessions may include life coaching support around parenting, emotional awareness, coping strategies, and personal development. Some coaching sessions may also incorporate emotional wellness approaches that help identify and release emotional blocks while learning to better listen to the body and develop greater emotional balance.
